The prostate gland, anatomically speaking, is a gland part of the male reproductive system. The prostate gland is formed by two lobes, enclosed by a layer of tissue. It is located in front of the rectum, bellow the bladder, there being stored the urine and it has the function of producing most of the fluids from the semen. It’s not known all the prostate functions. The prostate role is to extort the fluid like sperm in urethra. The enlarged prostate gland is a sign of aging to men. Because of the aging, many problems with the prostate can occur, in special at the men older than 50 years. Common problems are such the difficulties in passing urine, in urination, frequency of the urination, and others. Some infections of the prostate which are not cancer are acute prostatis, chronic prostatis, benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH. But beside that can appear prostate cancer too. Some of the problems provoked by an enlarged prostate are cumbersome for some men. Problems caused by enlarged prostate gland are weak or interrupted urinary system, difficulty in starting the urine flow, feeling the bladder full all the time, urinating very often, urinating all the day and night, urinating at night being called nocturia, involuntary discharge of urine, during the urination feeling burning or pain, hesitating stream, interrupted stream, leaking, dribbling at the end of the urination, stopping and starting again urinating, blood in the urine, named hematuria, urinary tract infection. But for this problem is not the same symptoms at all men, the symptoms can be diversified. If you’re experiencing urinary problems, seek medical advice, its better earlier than later. From the enlarged prostate gland, can appear other problems which discomfort the men. Prostate cancer is a very common affection, and lies at the base of the bladder. The front of the prostate surrounds urethra, the tube which carries urine from bladder and out through penis. A change in the size or shape of the prostate can narrow this tube, making very difficult for men to urinate, the back of the prostate presses against rectum. A prostate tumor is a lump created by an unusual and uncontrolled growth of cells, so it can be by two types malignant or cancerous and benign. The conclusion, men after 50 years should be more careful to the symptoms, and go to see a doctor periodically. Some tests can reveal a problem, which if it’s finding sooner can be fixed better and easier. Some of the tests you should take to the doctor’s cabinet are digital rectal exam, blood test, imaging, urine flow study, cystoscopy. Those are some tests which can help you to stay out of the older men problems, and can make you a free man, a healthy man and a happier man. |
