The prostate is a gland situated in the male reproductive system, and its found bellow the bladder, in front of the rectum. Prostate cancer is that type of cancer that forms in the tissues of the prostate, and usually the older man presents prostate cancer. Many causes of the prostate cancer are yet unknown or misunderstood. But there are some factors which are related with the prostate cancer.

Some of these factors are often by the medical nature or because of the genes, such age, family history of prostate cancer, family history of breast cancer, origins, diets and others. Other factors are too much drinking alcohol or caffeine, or any abuse. Treatment for prostate cancer depends upon its stage, which indicates how far the cancer has spread in the body. Prostate cancer is usually staged according to the system known as tumor, node, metastasis, in which the cancer is characterized by its expanse in body within the prostate gland itself, whether the lymph nodes in the region are involved with cancer, and whether the cancer has metastasized to other parts of the body.

Few studies revealed that vasectomy might increase the risk of prostate cancer, although these studies are not so conclusive. Still the testosterone stimulates naturally the growth of the gland, for long term testosterone it’s used in treatments. An enlarged prostate will not lead in every case to prostate cancer, but n many cases are a sign of it. Scientists advise us to eat a big quantity of tomatoes, vegetables, pasta, pizza, more healthy diets, stay physically active, quit smoking and alcohol, decrease the quantity of caffeine and you’d be healthy and protected by prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is defined as advanced when it spreads outside the prostate gland. It may spread to nearby tissues, lymph nodes, bones, or other parts of the body.
